The BakerMaker French Rolling Pin. The tapered wooden rolling pin preferred by most bakers.
Our 20-inch, solid French Rolling Pin is made from durable hard wood (beechwood or maple) and has a smooth surface. It’s one of our most popular rolling pins. In fact, some of our customers have told us that once they started using the tapered rolling pin they do not use any other. Of course rolling pins are a matter of preference. My grandmother personally likes her wooden rolling pin with steel bearings she’s had for over 55 years!
How to use a French rolling pin?
Using the product is very easy to use. Lightly dust a hard surface such as a counter top, with flour and then place your dough on top and then dust more flour on top. Place one hand on both ends of the pin. Press down on the middle portion of the rolling pin into the center part of your dough. Press downwards and then roll forward to the edges in one single motion. Keep repeating in this manner, rolling out to the outer sides of the dough. Turn the dough a quarter circle and continue going, always start from the center and moving outwards.
Each pin features unique wood grain patterns due to natural variations in the wood and may slightly differ from example photos listed.
