Northern Beaches Council: What your candidates said

The Northern Beaches Council has been heavily affected by the Liberals’ failure to nominate candidates in time.

There are currently six Liberals on the council, with five members of Your Northern Beaches Independent Team, two Greens, one Good for Manly councillor and one independent.

So who will Liberal voters vote for this time?

The Sydney Morning Herald sent questions to each of the 42 candidates up for election at the Northern Beaches Council about why they are running and what they want to accomplish if they are elected. Of those, 36 responded.

Their responses have been lightly edited for clarity.

We asked candidates where they stood on key policy issues they’re likely to vote on while in office, and what they thought about the current state of council services. Click the below buttons to see the results.
